Method: Sprinkle the fish with the turmeric powder and salt and leave to marinate for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, separate the rosette leaves from the stalk. Chop the leaves into small pieces. Measure out one cup.
Wash the leaves thoroughly and leave to drain in a colander. Heat three tablespoons of mustard oil in a frying pan set over medium heat and fry the fish until done.
In separate pan. heat the remaining table-spoon of mustard oil.
Add the garlic paste, ginger paste and the green chillies and saute until fragrant Stir in the roselle leaves and salt, a. cook, covered over low heat until the leaves wilt. Pour in two to three cups of hot water and bring to a toil.

Mix the rice powder in one cup of cold water and stir to dissolve.
Lower heat and add the dissolved rice flour. Mix well. Add the fish and some extra water if required. Cook over medium flame, until the water evaporates to your desired consistency. Serve with steam. rice.

Ingredients:
• Rohu fish .. .4 pieces
• Roselle leaves (Tengamora xaak). ...1 bunch
• Turmeric powd .... 1/2 tsp
• Garlic paste ....1 tsp
• Ginger paste... 1 tsp
• Green chillies.. ..3
• Mustard oil .....4 tbsps
• Hot water .....3 cups
• Rice flour ......1/4 cup
• Salt to taste
